Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a mix of positives and negatives. While it was cheap at £50 and offered a quiet, clean, and comfortable stay, there were issues with the room size, old shower needing an upgrade, and noise from the kitchen fan throughout the night. The service was commendable with a very accommodating and helpful staff. However, the location, despite being close to Mote Park, suffered from thin walls causing noise disturbances and lacked a good view. The dining experience, though satisfactory, was a bit expensive for the options available. Despite these drawbacks, the overall experience was still decent considering the value for money.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The room felt more like a prison with a connection to the dining area, and walking in the dark to another building was inconvenient. The service, although polite and accommodating towards my wheelchair-bound son, had issues with a non-functional shower in the morning. The location was not as expected on the maps, and the hotel had a very English-only feel, which might make foreign tourists feel unwelcome. The dining experience was overpriced, especially for the English breakfast, but the Belgian waffles were enjoyable.
